We're striking a chord for Newcastle music festival
May 2012
We're delighted to be working with one of the North East's most exciting musical events of the year.
Northern Chords brings the best young and dynamic talent from across the world to the banks of the Tyne, offering a refreshing take on classical music.
With musicians from 10 different countries, including stars such as BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Ben Johnson and Royal Overseas League winners The Busch Ensemble, Northern Chords expands in 2012 to include 11 concerts over 7 days, in venues ranging from intimate churches to the magnificant Sage Gateshead.
This year they will also work with Gateshead Youth Orchestra in a side-by-side project at Newcastle Cathedral, and will continue their relationship with Newcastle University, commissioning three new works that the fabulous Frankfurt-based piano quartet, Notos Quartet, will perform at the Gala Concert.
We'll be busy behind the scenes working with organiser Jonathan Bloxham (pictured) to ensure the concerts are a sell out success!
