An electrifying launch

It's none stop party here you know.  Last week, we organised a launch party for our client Electric East (formerly Barn Asia) to celebrate being back on the city’s restaurant scene.

A host of invited guests, including local business people, celebrities, the press and diners of the former Barn Asia, enjoyed drinks and a selection of delicious South East Asian dishes not to mention some entertainment provided by talented caricaturist Mike Giblin - here's BBC Look North presenter Sharuna Sagar with a wonderful picture - perfect to display in her new house.

The restaurant, located on Waterloo Square, features Vietnamese furnishings and artwork, a luxurious lounge and an extensive outside dining area, and is available for private functions.

Electric East’s menu includes tempting dishes like scallops with pork and peanut caramel, and Vietnamese shaking beef.
